Meet the Artist

Jorge Martell is a trilingual singer, songwriter, producer, and one man band based in Southern California. Over 25 years, he’s performed everywhere from intimate rooms to large crowds, delivering a full band feel in a compact, volume friendly setup. A multi instrumentalist on guitar, bass, drums, and some piano (by ear), Jorge records and arranges every instrument himself and brings those arrangements to life onstage. He founded the Bay Area band Unity in the late ’90s as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, later co fronted Sunflower, and performed with Kiriaps. He studied Latin percussion with Raul Reko (Carlos Santana’s former bongo player) and currently performs with Saulo’s band, one of Brazil’s most popular artists. Today, he anchors up to 4 hour winery sets spanning Country, Rock & Roll, Zamba, and Bossa Nova—always at conversation friendly volume.
